Rob
“Make yourselves at home.”
I have never felt so at ease with an AirBnB host. Rob welcomed us as soon as we arrived with such a genuine and open demeanor. He gave us a tour, showed us the local treats he bought for breakfast, and told us to let him know if we’d be interested in a traditional Aussie BBQ one night. You bet we were!
Rob joined AirBnB 2 years ago and has loved it ever since. While such a huge part of traveling for me is the people I meet - he treats his home this way. Welcoming backpackers, he has a mix of short term and long term stays. One girl worked at a local chicken/egg farm for 3 months and rented the room as an apartment - providing fresh eggs.
Working with his parents,
He loves to garden, clearly evident with his thriving backyard space. He tries to add native Australian plants and even rescues some from around town to repot and bring back to life. Also a big car guy, he has cars in the driveway and backyard waiting for restoration work.
Rob shared his life wisdom that you should take advice and other’s life experiences into your own personal toolbox to help nurture amazing outcomes. I taught him about an article I read how instead of saying sorry, say thank you.
I appreciate how open Rob is with his home and his stories! Be you, Rob.
